Making a Difference Locally

We, here at Crawfords Maghera, work hand in hand with the Making a Difference Locally Charity to help promote and fund local events and charities within the local community.

By Helping to fund local events and charities, we hope to promote the local community and help it to grow and develop.


Maghera Cricket Club

Receiving a donation of £500 is Chairperson Of Maghera Cricket Club Rhys Jones, alongside club players Richard Scott and Ricky Winder.

We wish this new club all the best for the coming seasons as they continue to grow and develop their skills.


Finepix Fred

Finepix Fred dropped in to help us open our new Fujfilm PhotoCentre which is located on our first floor in the Gift Department.

Be sure to drop in and get all those precious memories printed out!


Bag For Life

We held a competition for the local primary school pupils to design a bag for life that would be sold in store.

Primary 7 student from Glenview Primary school, Meaghan Walls was one of our winners.

Well Done Meaghan and all the other students who took part in this competition.

Henry Hippo

Henry the Hippo from the Ulster Bank made a visit to the store with his friend from the Northern Ireland Hospice. He was helping to raise money for this wonderful charity which helps care for those people who need it most.


Glen to Glen Cycle

Crawfords donated a sum of £500 to the Glen to Glen cycle.

Jonathan Crawford handed over the cheque to Eugene Devlin and Eamonn Convery of the Carn Wheelers.


The Big Breakfast 2014

The Big Breakfast is held in Maghera every year, and this year, Crawfords donated a host of breakfast essentials such as mushrooms, orange juice and loaves of bread to this great event.

All the money made by the Big Breakfast goes to goes to Cancer Research UK to help those that suffer from Cancer and provides the medical and mental help that the patients may need.


Upperlands Football Club

Crawfords donated £600 to Upperlands Football Club to aid them in buying a new kit for the coming season.

We wish the team all the best and hope that they will do well in the seasons to follow.
